The Cabanas brand name was registered in 1810 by the Spaniard Francisco
Cabanas, thus making it one of the oldest Habano marks. In 1895 he joined with other manufacturers to develop a new trademark: Hija de Cabanas
y Carbajal y Cia.
The cigar manufactured by this brand today, using
tobacco from the Vuelta Arriba area,is richly flavoured, manifesting a full
bodied palate and a toasted after taste. It is either totally machine
made or machine bundled, with a hand finished style.
